The protests that followed stole the news as women challenged his repugnant views
And Catalonia voted to leave Spain only to be treated with distain
Hefner finally had to go but is still sleeping with Monroe
Vile lunatics with religious bent bombed children at Ariana’s event
Usain Bolt retired, beat by a cheat when the last gun fired
Kim Jong Un has built a nuke that even met Chinese rebuke
Corbyn pledged no Uni fees but then said it was just a wheeze
Harry knelt for Meghan Markle , his mum’s gems making the ring just sparkle
The Mobot on the track is gone but we’ll see it in a marathon
And women’s sports came to the fore with sports-woman-ship the law
Cassini did a Saturn dive sending gorgeous selfies while still alive
And Mugabe finally got the sack, can Zimbabwe’s economy bounce back
Anthony Joshua’s fame hit town and he hit Klitschko, who went down
While Lewis won his 4th F1 title, a winning car is clearly vital
The Bitcoin price is on a tear but owners are warned they should beware
And Sterling slipped but is now more stable; the economy proving more than able
to survive the worst that Brexit throws and the politics of friends and foes
As for 2018, well who knows, but we’ll follow all the ebbs and flows
And bring you the relevant news as well as forex market views
