ECB policymaker Noyer voiced resistance

Published: Tuesday 20 October 2015

ECB policymaker Noyer voiced resistance towards expanding the bank’s quantitative easing program, while bank cheif Luis Maria Linde stated the central bank could extend and modify its asset programme, echoing Nowotny’s comments last week.

BOE MPC member McCafferty spoke today and was hawkish as usual, suggesting a rate hike is now needed and now sees risks from leaving a rise too late.

Markets are treading water however, ahead of the more important Marco data releases later in the week.
