EU CPI figures shows inflation unchanged

Published: Friday 16 October 2015

Today is relatively quiet on the data front.  Latest EU CPI figures released this morning show that inflation in the Eurozone was broadly unchanged with modest 0.2% inflation month on month and -0.1% against one year ago.  Whilst still positive the EU trade balance slipped a little to €19.8bn.

This afternoon the market will be looking for improved US Industrial & Manufacturing production numbers and the University of Michigan Consumer Confidence survey is expected to show expansion, with the market looking for direction on future US interest rate decisions.
