Weaker US Employment Data

Published: Thursday 01 October 2015

Eurozone Purchasing Manager`s Index (PMI) came in line with expectation at 52.

UK PMI was slightly better than expected coming in at 51.5 compared to 51.3 expected. Initial jobless claims were slightly lower than the expected 270k coming out at 277. This could indicate a weaker non-farms figure tomorrow, which is due to come out at 203k.

Focus will turn to the rest of the afternoon with Institute for Supply Management (ISM) manufacturing and construction data due from the US at 3pm. Fed Member Williams is also due to speak at 19:30 this evening.
